56: Don Pape | Write Your Story

This week, we’re jumping into the world of writing and we've brought in the best of the best for you.

We’ve asked our good friend and NavPress Publisher, Mr. Don Pape to join us. With over 30 years in the business, Don has published over a dozen New York Times best-sellers and worked with incredible authors such as Francis Chan, Madeline L’Engle, and Eugene Peterson. Don is one of the most humble, authentic, wise people you could hope to encounter and the advice he shares on writing your story will encourage and motivate you to bring that book in you to life.

We talk with Don about what makes the difference between life changing books verses those destined for the landfill, how to look at your life in a different way, and uncover the story within you worth sharing. As you listen, we hope you’ll be encouraged to pick up the pen and begin to share it with those who need to hear it. You have a story within you, trust God with the results, and just begin.

Remembering Jan Peterson

A few short months ago, Chris and I had the incredible honor of sitting down with the lovely Jan Peterson, wife of beloved author Eugene Peterson, for what none of us realized would be her very last interview. Shortly after our time together, her health began a rapid decline, and she went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 10, 2019.

To say we were blessed by our time with Jan would be a vast understatement. It is a gift we will treasure forever. Jan had us cracking up, tearing up, and in complete awe of a life well lived.

So today, we celebrate Jan and Eugene, and all they taught us through their life together of what it truly means to live life well. Listen in.

55: Margaret Feinberg | Around the Table

On today’s episode, we had the wonderful honor of sitting down with the one and only Margaret Feinberg. If you've never heard Margaret before you're in for such a treat today. She's recently been named one of Christianity Today’s top women shaping culture, she's a beloved Bible teacher, and author of several best selling books including her latest project we’re chatting about today, Taste and See.

Margaret shares with us the transforming power of gathering around the table, simple tips to create an environment where meaningful relationships can develop, and how we can recover the lost art of slowing down to share a meaningful, life giving meal together around our kitchen tables. Listen in.
